South Royalton Bandstand Concert

Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

The Green Mountain Brass Band is pleased to announce that it will perform a concert at the Richard W. Ellis Bandstand in the Green in South Royalton on Thursday, August 16 at 7:00 pm. This concert will include a variety of traditional, contemporary and popular band concert music. The concert is handicap-accessible. Admission is free.

The Brass Band has 26 members and features Cornets, Horns, Trombones, Baritones, Euphoniums, Basses, Drums & Percussion. The Band draws its musicians from northern Vermont's musical community.

Patty Jacob will be the Guest Bandmaster. Patty, recently retired from the Vermont National Guard where she managed and played percussion in the 40th Army Band. She also retired from leading the Morristown Military Band for many years.

South Royalton Bandsmen Phyllis Kadlub on Soprano Cornet, and Dana Howe on Bass will perform with the Band.

Special Thanks to Selectman John Dumville, and Phyllis Kadlub and Dick Ellis of the South Royalton Town Band for helping organize the concert.
