Green Mountain Brass Band
South Royalton Bandstand Concert
South Royalton Green
South Royalton, Vermont
Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm

The Green Mountain Brass Band is pleased to announce that it will perform a concert at the Richard W. Ellis Bandstand in the Green in South Royalton on Thursday, August 16 at 7:00 pm. This concert will include a variety of traditional, contemporary and popular band concert music. The concert is handicap-accessible. Admission is free.

The Brass Band has 26 members and features Cornets, Horns, Trombones, Baritones, Euphoniums, Basses, Drums & Percussion. The Band draws its musicians from northern Vermont's musical community.

Bruce McRae will be the Guest Bandmaster. Bruce is a graduate of the UVM School of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education. He has taught music at Bellows Free Academy of Fairfax since 1973. He plays and teaches privately the trumpet and French horn. He is a member of Horns Borealis and a charter member of Vermont Jazz Ensemble. A native of Island Pond, Bruce now resides in Milton with his wife and family. In his spare time, he enjoys flying over Vermont as a private pilot.

South Royalton Bandsmen Phyllis Kadlub on Soprano Cornet, and Dana Howe on Bass will perform with the Band.

Special Thanks to Selectman John Dumville, and Phyllis Kadlub and Dick Ellis of the South Royalton Town Band for helping organize the concert.
