WDEV will broadcast the Concert, which will be the Band's first broad cast. The Concert is free thanks to the Waterbury Rotary Club and the Northfield Savings Bank.

The Brass Band has 26 members and features Cornets, Trumpets,Horns, Trombones, Baritones, Euphoniums, Tubas, Drums, and Percussion. The Band draws its musicians from the best jazz bands, concert bands, and orchestras in Vermont. The Band performed in the Park last July for one of the largest turnouts of the series.

Patty Eisenman of Morrisville will be the Guest Conductor. Patty is a Sergeant 1st Class in the Vermont National Guard where she manages and plays percussion in the 40th Army Band. Patty is an active musical member of her community. She has led the Morristown Military Band and directed the Lamoille County Players production of the “Sound of Music” for many years. She is a percussionist with the Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rich Steele of Charlotte will be the Band's Cornet Soloist. Rich is a cabinet maker by daylight and trumpet player by moonlight. In High School, Rich played and soloed with the Vermont Youth Orchestra and Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra. After High School, he studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He has played with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Vermont Jazz Ensemble, Swinging Vermont Big Band, and the Lyric Theatre. Last summer Rich toured Britain as a soloist with the American Winds Concert Band. His latest musical project is his brass quintet the Galaxy Brass Quintet. An expected highlight of the show will be his performance of the Theme from “Hetty Wainthrope Investigates” familiar to viewers of Vermont Public Television.

This concert will be the Opening of the 20th Anniversary of the Waterbury Concert in the Park Series. The Waterbury Rotary Club & Waterbury Area Activities and Cultural Committee sponsor and organize the Series as a service to the Waterbury Community.
